Full Membership

Full membership of PANDDA is open to those nurses registered and enrolled with AHPRA and incurs a full fee.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is available to individuals who do not currently meet the criteria for Full membership. This includes Assistants in Nursing, Disability Support Workers, Allied Health Professionals. Students, Educators, Researchers and Academics, Social Workers, Disability Liaison officers, and other professionals who have an interest in matters pertaining to the health of people with intellectual and developmental disability and a supportive interest in the aims and objectives of PANDDA.

Associate members are entitled to most of the benefits of full PANDDA membership, although they do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

Associate membership can be available to practitioners who hold current recognised membership of relevant associations outside of Australia.

Retired Membership

Retired Membership is open to current members who have retired from nursing but have significant knowledge, experience and interest in intellectual and developmental disabilities and nursing who wish to continue to contribute to the objectives of PANDDA. A Retired Membership incurs a reduced fee.

Corporate Membership

Corporate membership is open to organisations who provide a service for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities – for example a direct service, resources, staffing, research, education. Individual members of an organisation who are eligible can join PANDDA as a full member. Email PANDDA for details.

Life Membership

Life membership is a privilege of membership granted by the Association in its absolute discretion without fees to a person for the remainder of their life, for the person’s outstanding commitment and sustained contribution to the Association (6) Honorary membership is conferred on a person for a specified period by the Association in its absolute discretion, having reference to the person’s contribution to PANDDA or by their direct or continuing association with PANDDA.
