PANDDA is pleased to announce Keynote and Invited Speakers for the 35th Annual National PANDDA Conference and Annual General Meeting. The two-day conference will be held on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 October 2024 at the Novotel Hotel Sydney (Parramatta). The conference will feature speakers who are professionals in the field of intellectual developmental disability. Speakers include:

• Chris Stirling RN, United Kingdom, Senior Vice President, Crisis Prevention Institute

• Dr Natalie Ong, Developmental Behavioural Paediatrician, Child Development Unit, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Westmead

• Dr Seeta Durvasula, Senior Research Fellow,3DN UNSW

• Helen Laverty MBE RN, Chair of Positive Choices, Nurses Disability Network, United Kingdom

• Sophie Howlett, Team Lead and Raylene Griffiths, Project Worker, Driving Change Team, National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health (Council for Intellectual Disability)

• A performance from Playback Theatre to help celebrate PANDDA’s 35 years

• Family members with lived experience

The theme for the conference is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s ‘Through the Looking-Glass’, emphasizing self-reflection and embracing the challenges and triumphs of the profession.

We encourage you to register before 13 September to take advantage of early bird rates.
